"Humanity has a randomness that brings each close to divinity." first and second Guiding Principles.

Humanity has a randomness that brings each close to divinity.

It is by that principle possible for men to exceed the limits of their programming.

"The wound is where the light enters you."  -Rumi

When you stop worshipping the past and killing yourself for today,

the future begins to bloom.

"His grace extends so far that even when we turn away from Him, Christ waits patiently and lovingly for us to turn back to him.

Thank you, God, that Your grace has set me free and given me new hope for tomorrow."

Thereby, forgive yourself, within reason, and forgive others--while being tougher on yourself than the standard by which you judge others.  But guard your salvation from the wiles of a "lost and falling world", lest you find your own soul becomes one with that "lost and falling world"....

We belong to God while conversely being enveloped inside a world filled with sin and destruction.  It is like riding a horse, and using your strong hand to hold the bridle--our strong hand is our relationship with God.  Our weak hand is the influence of the world around us--we practice one, while trying to strengthen and improve the other.

Christ's words:

First love God.

Second love others.

My own paraphrase:

First we are God's children.

Second we are world citizens.

The push-pull of the Universe, in its continual churning for balance.

Of the Balance Universal, a continual cycle of birth and death, loss and renewal is evidenced.

I observe the Buddha, the original, not the Baskin Robbins version or the McFlurry flavor.

The rich guy that sat beneath the tree, lost in his own thoughts--somehow looping through seemingly endless iterations of himself.

What had happened was:

He was born wealthy, and being totally satisfied in every way, he had no motive to exercise the power of the human will to strive.

The glut of felicities probably rose to a timbre of something which caused him to beg the starry night sky for endurance, lest he falter and cease to want to put up a fight.

No cause remained to be strived for, but to exist.

Universal Balance.

A Hollywood writer, like anyone else, with living expenses and such.

A chain-smoking fiend at his old typewriter, cranking out dialogue, scenarios, exchanges and such that he hoped would find the market.

And it did.

And his expenses were met.

Paradoxically, his Twilight Zone television series belonged for some time, piecemeal, to several other entities.

Such that his work, in order to maintain a profit for the corporate overlords, had to not only be debuted, but shown again and again, syndication, home video and all that.

His work, his stab at survival: the Twilight Zone.

And necessity of commerce had coincided with he and the rest of the universe, as such that the name Rod Serling is known, and some of those stories are still lauded 80 years after their creation.

Need-Greed-Entertainment-Fables that some still find relevant.

Universal Balance.

Born an orphan, Marcus Aurelius was, but cared for well by his foster family.

An orphan that came to rule what Caucasians call "the known world" in the form of the Roman Empire.

And amid various intrigues and things among the decadent Romans, he wrote to himself a journal, in which he reminded himself to remain humble.

In that book, he derided himself, and spoke the cause of humility.  He thought of the Gods, and the universe.  The nature of life itself.

And the jest of it all, his private journal became a sort of life manual for so many people in the centuries that followed, and even know.

I keep that book on my end table and read from it at least once a week, even now.

On Belief and Truth

"If He is not is us, we lie and do not pursue the truth..."

Indeed, if we believe in more, then there is something more to be serviced than a fixed object of belief, and it is reflected, filtered into our words, that there is something set and real in the universe, and all is not a dream.

Plato's objective universe, mayhap, and the Roman stoic's formal universe.  Truth that superceeds and eclipses the shifting sands of what we call reality.  Something fixed and solid.

Quran-KJV direct comparison, one verse on God's Love.

On the same day, I come across a verse about the Creator's intention to the believer in two of the major "books", that being Jeremiah 29:11 and An-Nisa 79(Quran 4:79).

Observe.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  -Jeremiah 29:11 (King James Version of the Holy Bible)

Whatever good happens to you is from Allah; and whatever misfortune smites you is because of your own action.  -Quran surah An Nisa, ayat 79

Ryan Holiday, the Apostle Paul, and my comments on past, present and future.

We have to stop worshiping the past sometime, and then killing ourselves for the future; these things accounted for, the future then begins to bloom.

"Revenge is a dish best not served."  -Ryan Holiday.

"Do not render evil for evil."  -Paul the Apostle.

Friday the 13th, 2023.

The end of harvest, in many quarters, with fields turning empty, and many farms turning-in, anticipating the winter season.  Historically, there are harvest festivals, in celebration, along with each having its own traditions, such as bonfires and things.

This year, in the Western Hemisphere, the East Coast of the United States, New Moon roughly coincides with Friday October 13th, leaving only a slight sliver on the actual day itself, then going almost full dark the next day, that Saturday, with the Full Moon anticipated on October 28th, 2023.
